About This Course
This course introduces the process of design as a model for creating innovative products for the market or solving problems, based on human-centric observation and prototyping. A design thinking mindset is one that looks at challenges from the users' mental model, and in designing a solution, takes into consideration the users' needs and value created for them. This course presents an introduction to the practice of design thinking. It covers the design process of ideation, and case studies looking at applications of design thinking.
As an application-focused workshop, participants will spend much of the time practising design thinking concepts by working on a challenge of their own choice.
