About This Course
Financial planning is fundamental towards the formulation and achievement of financial goals. A grounding in the knowledge base for financial planning enables an individual to manage his or her personal finance in the environment of a digital economy in the 21st century.
Topics from the knowledge base include asset management, credit management, life insurance, income tax planning, estate planning and the CPF. The 12-month certification programme consists of 3 courses:
• Essentials of Financial Management covers financial statements, cash flows, valuation, time value of money, risk and return, cost of capital, capital structure, investment and financial planning.
• Financial Markets provides a basic understanding of the significance of financial markets in a world of digital economy and shifting global concerns.
• Personal Financial Planning provides a broad perspective around the knowledge base to encompass financial advisory and developments in that space due to FinTech such as robo-advisory.
What You'll Learn
Trainees will learn the skills, tools and techniques relevant in launching a successful career as a Personal Banker / Relationship Manager - Retail Banking / Personal Banking Manager.
Entry Requirements
Individuals must meet all the requirements below in order to be eligible to apply for the programme:
• Singapore Citizen, Singapore Permanent Resident or LTVP+ holder
• At least 21 years old
• Self-sponsored learners (either unemployed or in-employment individuals)
• Currently pursuing SUSS Part-Time Degree Programme
