About This Course

In this course, we explore the fundamentals of pasta making with expert guidance. We learn the techniques of working with pasta dough, understanding the chemistry of flour and eggs as we knead, roll, and shape the dough to create perfect pasta.

What You'll Learn

LO1: Examine the quality of ingredients to be used in the making of pasta and sauces.

LO2: Combine specific and improvised ingredients to achieve the desired quality for popular pasta types and sauces.

LO3: Apply different techniques to cook different past dishes using the prepared ingredients.

LO4: Utilise aromatics, seasoning, herbs and spices in the cooking process.

LO5: Apportion, plate and present finished pasta creations artistically.

Entry Requirements

- 1 -year working experience in any sector;
- Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) 3 or equivalent; and

Learners without the right WPLN or equivalent qualifications can be accepted if they have at least 3 years of relevant working experience in retail and/or customer-facing roles, subject to the MR's approval
