About This Course
The Cyber Essentials mark is a cybersecurity certification for organisations that are embarking on their cybersecurity journey. It is targeted at organisations such as Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Some SMEs have limited IT and/or cybersecurity expertise and resources; the Cyber Essentials mark aims to enable them to prioritise the cybersecurity measures needed to safeguard their systems and operations from common cyber-attacks. The Cyber Essentials mark also serves to recognise the organisations that have put in place good cyber hygiene measures
What You'll Learn
Learners are able to develop and apply procedures for access control, data classification, regular software updates and data backups in accordance to organisation’s policies
Learners are able to update policies with the latest updates on cyber security to reflect emerging threats and establish a detailed incident response plan, define roles and responsibilities, and conduct post-incident reviews for continuous improvement.
Entry Requirements
• Minimum Secondary Education or equivalent
• Be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualifications (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) level 5
• Proficient in computer literacy and Internet Usage skill
• Preferably at least one year of working experience
