By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
1. Identify environmental, psychological, and physiological factors that affect behaviour
2. Explain the types of strategies and interventions in a behavioural support/care plan
3. Identify elements that are in a behavioural support plan
4. Using proactive strategies to encourage and shape postive behaviours
5. Address challenging behaviour using reactive strategies in a safe manner
6. Facilitate the learning of functional replacement behaviours
7. Monitor and review a behavioural support/care plan through data collection
What You'll Learn
Entry Requirements
The skills and knowledge for this course, which the learner is assumed to possess, are as follows:
* A minimum of GCE ‘N’ Level with credits including English Language as a first language; or
* Be able to listen, speak, read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualifications (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5
